Nominations are called for Delegates to Branch Biennial Conference from the following
regions:

  • Central Metropolitan Region Area One (11)
  • Central Metropolitan Region Area Two (12)
  • North West Metropolitan Region Area One (10)
  • North West Metropolitan Region Area Two (11)
  • South West Metropolitan Region Area One (11)
  • South West Metropolitan Region Area Two (10)
  • Northern Region Area One (12)
  • Northern Region Area Two (8)
  • Southern Region Area One (8)
  • Southern Region Area Two (7)
  • Western Region (13)
  • Commissioned Officers (9)
  • Non-LAC Region Area One (16)
  • Non-LAC Region Area Two (11)
  • Non-LAC Region Area Three (14)
  • Non-LAC Region Area Four (12)

Nominations, which must be in writing and comply with the registered rules of the Organisation, may be made at any time from 05/02/2024.

A nomination form is available for electronic completion on the AEC Portal, www.aec.gov.au/ieb/. However, the nomination form must then be lodged in accordance with the Organisation's rules (see below).

Additional forms are available from the Returning Officer.

Prospective candidates and nominators should verify their financial status and any other qualifications required by the Organisation's rules prior to lodging nominations. Nominees and Nominators shall be attached to the region where they are nominating.

Nominations must reach the Returning Officer via the lodgement method(s) stipulated below not later than 12:00 noon Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on 26/02/2024.


How to lodge nominations, nominations must be lodged via the following method(s):

  • By Portal: Australian Electoral Commission Portal, www.aec.gov.au/ieb/
  • By Email: A properly completed nomination form including all necessary signatures and attachments may be scanned and submitted as a pdf file to IEBnominations@aec.gov.au

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Emails to the AEC inbox that appear to be spam may be blocked. It is the responsibility of senders to ensure that their email reaches the AEC before the deadline for nominations.
     
  2. To be able to be received by the AEC, emails (including attachments) should be no greater than 6 MB in size.
     
  3. You may call 03 9285 7111 to enquire about the status of your nomination.
     
  4. The subject line of the email should include the reference: ‘E2023/181 – PFA NSW Nomination – your name and region’.

Information Profiles
A nominee for any office in the Branch may complete an “Information Profile” in support of their candidature to be included with ballot material. Such profile shall be no more than 200 words in length and shall only include the candidate’s name, location, region, work or Association experience, reason for nominating; or other relevant information which could assist the voter in their decision. Such profile shall be submitted to the Returning Officer as a Microsoft Word document by email.


Only Informational Profiles which comply with the Rules and are received by the Returning Officer by 12:00 noon (Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT)) on 26/02/2024 can be accepted.

Voting Period
The ballot, if required, will open on 18/03/2024 and close at 10:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on 15/04/2024.

Scrutineers
The appointment of scrutineers opens on 05/02/2024.
A form is available from the Returning Officer for the purposes of appointing Scrutineers.
