Disaster recovery payments will be available for flood-affected residents in NSW from 2 pm tomorrow, Thursday 7 July. For more information, visit the Services Australia website.

How much is the payment and who is eligible to claim?

The Disaster Recovery Payment is $1,000 per adult and $400 per child. To claim the one-off payment, you or your child must be seriously affected by the storms or floods i.e. seriously injured or with a severely damaged home.

How can I claim the payment?

The Disaster Recovery Payment can be claimed online through a myGov account that is linked to Centrelink. More information on how to claim will become available here
