Legislation to protect Police Memorials in the same way the Anzac War Memorial is protected has been introduced to NSW Parliament by the Member for Barwon, Roy Butler.
The Summary Offences Amendment (Police Memorial Offences) Bill 2025 will penalise vandalism and make it an offense to behave disrespectfully towards any memorial in NSW of a person who has served in the police.
