NSW Labor have now committed to 100 additional police if they win the upcoming election: 50 police in south-west Sydney, and 50 police in north-west Sydney.

On 13 February, PANSW President Kevin Morton presented the Association's pre-election submission to NSW Labor Leader Chris Minns and Shadow Minister for Police Paul Scully MP - calling on all parties to take action in order to keep cops and the community safe.

The PANSW recommendations identified Western Sydney as one of the areas in NSW that needs additional police.

Police Association of NSW President Kevin Morton said the boost will come as welcome relief for residents in the region.

“The community deserves to know we’ve got the police presence on the ground that we need to ensure that police are there to respond to jobs and proactively police our streets to keep them safe.

“Labor’s announcement is a welcomed investment in safety."

PANSW Organisers attended these important announcements of much needed additional police officers.
