A Minns Labor Government will deliver an additional 50 police officers to the north-west region of Sydney.

On 18 February, the PANSW welcomed a commitment from NSW Labor to deliver an additional 50 extra police officers in South West region.

We are again pleased with NSW Labors commitment this week to further increase the strength of Police numbers in the North west of sydney

Police Association of NSW President Kevin Morton said the boost will come as welcome relief for residents in the region, which includes Riverstone, Wentworthville, Windsor and other surrounding areas.

“Boosting police numbers in growth areas like Sydney’s northwest will make a significant difference to cops’ ability to keep the local community safe,” Mr Morton said.

“We welcome Labor’s commitment of an additional 100 cops in the region, if they win government.

PANSW in its Pre-election document still firmly believe that 250 police are required to meet the needs of Western Sydney.

“The community deserves to know we’ve got the police presence on the ground that we need to ensure that police are there to respond to jobs and proactively police our streets to keep them safe.

“Labor’s announcement is a welcomed investment in safety.”
