Associate Members

A former ordinary member of PANSW who has retired, or medically discharged from the NSW Police being medically unfit or has resigned; or a surviving spouse of such person may become as Associate member of the PANSW.

Subscriptions for Associate membership are $1.98 per fortnight including GST, payable in advance in equal fortnightly installments or the payment of each years full subscription. Associates are entitled to;

  • A copy of the Police News.
  • Out of pocket expenses for each Branch dependant upon number of members eg a Branch of 101 – 200 members is entitled to $200 of out of pocket expenses.
  • Access to the Financial Legal Assistance Scheme where applicable including pension increases, appeals against declined HOD applications, and 12D applications, approved prior to the Associates discharge from the NSW Police
  • Free TV hire during periods of hospitalisation. Indicatively the cost of the hire (largely dependant upon location) is in the vicinity of $5 and $10 per day.
  • Provision of a wreath (or donation to a nominate charity) to the value of $50 on the death of an Associate member.
  • A PANSW annual diary
